MENSCH
(Studio and Home Cinema Edition)

Germany's best-selling album for the first time on Audio Blu-ray including the concert video "Mensch - Live" from the Arena AufSchalke (2003) - remastered in HD and Dolby Atmos

"Mensch" was first released in 2002 and became Herbert Grönemeyer's most successful release to date. With more than 3.1 million copies sold, it is now the best-selling album in Germany and reached platinum status even before the release due to pre-orders.

Mensch" was recorded at the Mayfair Studios with his long-time producer Alex Silva in Herbert Grönemeyer's then adopted home of London.

Herbert Grönemeyer produces his albums in the best possible recording quality. Thus "Mensch" was already released in high resolution quality on the SACD in 2002. The Hi-Res recordings were the basis for this studio edition with a resolution of 24Bit and 96kHz. Besides the stereo mix, a 5.1 surround mix is also included. This also served as the basis for the Dolby Atmos mastering of the album.

Playback of these sound formats is made possible by Pure Audio Blu-ray; a medium developed for music playback based on the Blu-ray Disc. Playable on any commercially available Blu-ray player, including corresponding game consoles with Blu-ray drives.

For the first time, "Mensch - Live" will also be released on Blu-ray, a recording of the two-day concert in 2003 from the Arena AufSchalke during his then tour "Alles Gute von gestern bis Mensch". Grönemeyer's classics like "Bochum", "Männer", "Flugzeuge im Bauch" or "Mensch" can be heard and end in a fulminant "Currywurst". In front of more than 65,000 spectators, a concert recording was made, characterised by great emotionality, even though the recording technology of the time did not yet allow the sharpness of today's video productions. The concert recording is also available in stereo, 5.1 surround sound and, for the first time, in a Dolby Atmos version based on it.

Studio album and live concert are available remastered on this Blu-ray Disc. As a historical document of these creative years, the hybrid SACD of 2002 with the sound formats stereo and 5.1 surround was also reissued and included in the studio & home cinema edition.

Contains the Pure Audio Navigation for the album Mensch and in the video area when the TV is switched on the concert video "Mensch-Live" with pop-up navigation for title selection and sound formats.

Tiefenträume

Two saxophones up to 20 woodwinds, together with instrumentation and mixing in 5.1 surround, create a unique listening experience.

Inspired by the colours, the weightlessness and the connectedness in the boundlessness of the ocean, an idiosyncratic sound was created, which was realised as an energetic basic current in the nine movements of "Tiefenträume". Two saxophones up to 20 woodwinds, together with instrumentation and mixing in 5.1 surround, create a unique listening experience.

The Steffen Schorn Septet played the composed and improvised sections quasi-"live" in real time. "Tiefenträume" conjures up acoustic colour fields, from broad, expressive brushstrokes to subtle pointillism, which require deeper listening to unlock their full dimension. Structure, sensuality and emotion give way to dynamic acoustic patterns in which polyrhythm and contrasts meet. Rock, swing, jazz, intricate meters and melodies with oriental influences are pillars of a universe that is re-creating itself.

The J.B. Experience

Coming soon

Sweeping rock, punchy grooves, powerful imagery, impressive concerts - these are just a few ways to describe the four-piece band around the German-Canadian singer Tomson.

The album by Mister Moto, produced by Arne Neurand (among others Revolverheld, Guano Apes), is now released as a studio and home cinema edition. This is the first time that the powerful rock album has been released on CD and Blu-ray Audio. The Pure Audio Blu-ray of this edition contains a stereo track as well as the new immersive mix in Dolby Atmos and Auro 3-D. All packaged in a high-quality digi-pack limited to 5,000 copies.
Mister Moto has always sounded big. The songs have an electrifying energy and an epic ambition reminiscent of big stadium rock like Muse, Guns N'Roses or Bon Jovi. Made for an immersive sound format like Dolby Atmos or Auro 3-D, pushing to fill the whole room and sweep the listener along!
The album "The J.B. Experience" was remixed in the MSM Studios in Munich, which makes the already varied record even more dynamic. The soulful ballads get under your skin, the powerful rock numbers push forward and electronic elements provide that certain something. A fat guitar sound shapes the basic mood of the album, along with driving beats that you rarely hear, and this concise voice of the singer and band founder, the German-Canadian Tomson, impresses. The result is an album whose melodies and hymns are captivating from the first to the last track and stay in your head.
In addition to the immersive mixes, the Blu-ray also contains a new stereo track. Using the m-shuttle function, the album can be transferred to the computer as a wave or binaural file to enjoy all the songs in stereo or 3-D on your mobile devices.
